Time for more

Hello everyone,

So its the 17th November 2015 on a grey autumn day when 5 degree celsius dont seem like the scariest form of winter. They say this year we will have to wait for snow a bit longer and the weather forecasts announce the ski period to be starting later in Q1 2016. The ski resorts are becoming creative and try to attract tourists by renewing the top of the mountain aprés ski bars and by advertising gigs with famous dj`s.

At the same time the world is going crazy…facebook, linkedin, twitter and other social media are full of solidarity pictures for what has happened in France on Friday the 13th November 2015. A black friday that has changed the meaning for not only the people in the UK, but for everyone who is not ignorant to what is happening these days. Further south east in Greece there is daily circumstances that are faced by the local people who never thought will occur to them in the beginning of the year 2015 when all they were worried about was the “financial” crisis of their country. Now almost 11 months later the “refugee” crisis is more than present and is becoming a core problem for our societies, our countries, for Europe and for the World. Humanity is asked more than often. Humanity is online. Humanity is trend. There is a battle on who will post the most shocking picture or who will show the most empathy through the various communication channels. The competition on whose likes and comments are more significant and the search for who is to blame has started. Every second, every minute, every hour you can read or see something -hear someone talking about the tragedies in many places of the world. We have all become little researchers inside the world wide web.

And I am thinking out loud… why if we all have time to research and participate in this global online solidarity actions we do not use our time for more? You may ask me now what is more? What should one do? I am also sitting here writing my blog post…. but maybe this is exactly the question that we have to ask ourselves! What more can we do with time? How can we use it so that our world becomes a better place? What is it that will bring joy and love to humanity? And who can change the fear in the hearts of the broken children into power, courage and hope? How much time will pass until we can forget our bad memories, heal our scars and forgive the people who hurt us?

When will words like SOLIDARITY, HUMANITY and most of all LOVE start being values and stop being trends? Maybe its time to make our pure values the fashion we live in?!

I hope from the bottom of my heart that this year will be lesson learned for whatever we will have to face in the future and that every single one of us can reflect on what is relevant in time. I hope you can use your time for more dreams, more love, more creativity and more inspiration in order to keep your vision for a better tomorrow.

…..because lets not forget what Henry David Thoreau once said: “We were not born to be forced. We will breathe after our own fashion.”

In that sense, have a great tuesday…
